Sorry I don't know who recorded the creaky tree and the train as I'm a
newby and I though I'd have a play with it. I haven't got myself
organised onto the upload site yet so I'm using my photography site:
The first is an Audacity noise removal with mixback of the original to
warm it up again:
www.stowford.org/sounds/creakytreenr24mix.mp3
then I chopped it before the train and noise removed it again without
mixback and it is very crunchy but you can hear all sorts in there:

Notes on processing:
I haven't actually reduced the BG by much but I've boosted the
foreground sounds. The next step would be to do use a HPF before the
NR stage such as a 200Hz rolloff at 6db/octave using "Equalization".
The Audacity HPF is too rounded and I like to tailor miine. Noise
Removal on V1.3.-- is much improved.
