Hi Mitch,

Re your link

  http://www.4shared.com/dir/UTASxktL/wildlife.html

Sharing of sounds on websites is new to me too! I haven't done it
before (other than xeno-canto) so you are one step ahead of me. But
I am happy to give feedback.

I have now figured out the 4shared downloading process, there are 4-5
clicking processes to be done before you get the file, so it is easy
to get lost on the way until you know the procedure. I hate the
flashing ads, they just add to the confusion. Sound Cloud was better
in this regard, the ads were less obvious.

I had only played two of your files, Blue Jay 1 and Oriole 4, and
both had sound only in left hand channel. Blue Jay 1 now has sound
in both channels (did you change it?), but Oriole (which I
downloaded) shows that there is sound only in the left hand channel. =

You should be able to make a 'dual mono' file quite easily with your
software, so that the sound plays in both channels.

Cardinal and Blue Jay 2 sounded fine and I could download them to my
computer.

It is great to see your enthusiasm, and good luck with species
recordings with your new set up! The sounds I've heard so far are
very good.

best wishes,

Vicki
