Hi,
The info below was with the rode boom pole and rode blimp, the handling=
noise i tested both on the rode blimp handle and the boom pole handle, bot=
h areas were audible in the recording. Shifting grip, placing the pole down=
, moving the blimp on the end of the pole (fast) would cause the capsules t=
o give and odd bumping sound (not the mic against the blimp) - moving very =
slowly and perhaps the effects are far less. I tried the blimp on a tripod =
static which worked better, but that defeats the object of moving from one =
source to another with a seamless transition. Thats with bare hands, gloves=
may help, not gone there yet..
I tried to modify the boom pole with some elastomer urethane near the end, =
but that didnt work out, opted for a simple elastic suspension at the end h=
olding the rig (geometric ears in a cylinder) from the top, so it dangles b=
elow the pole.
