what i suggest is single channel starquad cable wired as 2 twisted pairs to=

5pin XLR's. I have never experience large amounts of RF interference in
nature recording locations, though if you do want to record stage shows & o=

a film set the starquad method is very good.
What you can do is make an adaptor cable (5pin -3pin) to convert the
starquad wired as though stereo cable to a mono starquad cable on the rare=

occasions it may be needed.
BTW the very slightly worsened crosstalk when using SQ as stereo is a non
issue.
