You've "caught _me_ up" on the import side. That's all I've asked
from it. As for export, I'm sure you've used the SWS markers-region
list feature. As modest as it is, its better than any similar feature
I've used. My contact is with the SWS project.
You've spent more time with Reaper and on the users forum and
programming. Do you have a sense of how hard it would be to improve
Reaper's capabilities to your current metadata import/editing
standards, or would you suggest another free or cheap cross-platform
app with greater potential?
Would you agree, for now, that being able easily add** data like
photos, spreadsheets, species ID's in sync with the time line with a
"consolidation" app while one is logging/editing is more crucial than
robust metadata importing-- given the current state of standards and
market influences? Rob D.
** By "add" I mean in a single, Reaper exported document ready for
the Database to make a complete table out of.
