the KRK gets a very strong review in SOS by Paul White: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/nov08/articles/krkrp6.htm Another to consider would be the Audioengine 5 or 2 ($325 and $200/pr). Both are regularly raved about. I talked to the designer when these first came out and he was fully aware of their potential as nearfield monitors and how they related to others at this price point. One of the many speakers they used for comparison during development was a KRK model. |
