Barely on topic here, but we discuss gear a lot...

I need a new set of desktop monitors and, given the golden ears that reside=
here, I just wanted to ask if anybody had any raves for a speaker set at a=
round a $200 budget.

They will be used primarily for music while working, but I'll also use them=
for editing sound files. I would likely still use headphones for critical=
listening because I don't intend to do any significant sound treatment to =
the office. I've got a respectable sub (which I wouldn't mind moving into =
my shop) and power amp, so passives would be of interest as well as active =
monitors. I've read good remarks, for instance, about the Alesis M1. Any =
other suggestions?

Thanks and best regards, Robb
