These are Sony's figures for the internal mic self noise, right ?

One possible reason for the difference is the D50 internal mics are
Cardiod pattern and the M10 mics are Omni, with the former often being
slightly noisier than the latter.

But as Rob says, the figures may not be everything...

Raimund's tests are for the external mic input, which is a different
kettle of fish :-)
