Hi Ellen, A small note of caution from one who has been recording bird song since 1968: it tends to be addictive - as I suspect a perusal of Nat/Recs archives may well confirm. Just keep in mind that you may well go on to record other birds in other situations, when selecting your recorder. Best of luck.
