Max and all,
Indeed, having wallabies around my house is a privilege. The poor
things have been doing it tough in the drought but recent rain has
given then fresh shoots to nibble, and made the crickets and cicadas
happier.
The Telinga LS10 stereo mic that I mentioned has been discussed on
this list. You are right, it isn't listed on the Telinga site as
such, but is exactly the same as the PRO7 stereo series except that
it runs on plug-in power from an LS-10 or similar. Klas made up a
small number of these mics for people on the naturerecordists list.
Klas is now developing perhaps an even better stereo mic - the Murie
Mic, lightweight and giving binaural-like possibilities, and it will
run on plug in power of LS-10 and similar.
I made some modifications to the Telinga mic that I have, adapting a
different handle and making a more substantial windshield for using
the mic 'open'.
While I do have other recording gear, the Telinga mic and the Olympus
LS-10 is my 'grab and run' outfit and I just love it.
