Hello,

Just to add a bit more to the Soundminer discussion - I use Soundminer dail=
y to organize my clients' (and my own) SFX libraries. Can't live without i=
t. It accommodates adding descriptions and categories, location, mic and r=
ecorder info, sound image, etc.

Soundminer comes in a couple of different versions:

- Miniminer ($199) - read only
- Soundminer V4 ($599) - standard
- Soundminer V4 pro ($899) - multichannel support

http://www.soundminer.com/SM_Site/V4_for_Mac.html

There are a few other versions (web only, server and various ripping and MP=
3 modules), but that's the basic list.

It's great also for data wrangling, batch text changes, etc. One drawback =
is that it can be a bit slow updating the data when you have a lot of recor=
ds (say, 3000+). But searching is always fast. And the support staff resp=
onds quickly.
