There are some interesting suggestions. I found out as well that one can put comments on a file that will be read b= y Spotlight, which would help searching. But, I'm not sure if the comments ca= n be exported. The workflow for doing that is also kind of cumbersome, as you have to get to them via finder. The programs folks have pointed to look very promising, but most are pretty expensive for the kind of use I'll be giving them. I've decided to fiddle around with Bento (kind of a Filemaker light) and se= e what I can make. It's $50, has .csv export, and seems capable enough for a basic database. |
