ucoot Date: Sat Mar 21, 2009 5:49 pm ((PDT)) Max I know just how you feel. I'm 88 and spent my early working days in the sheet steel industry where they cooled the rolls in the mills with wet steam! The high pitched sound of the steam was deafening. My hearing now cuts off at 5kh but even up to that level there is an overall fall off in sensitivity. Like you I enjoy recording, the sensitivity of the dish and ME66 make the forest calls come alive and they are there to listen to at home as well. Unfortunately the sounds of traffic etc carry for long distances but Audition helps to reduce them. Best wishes for your continued enjoyment of the sounds of the bush. Stuart. _____ |
