I would recommend a Sennheiser K6/ME66 microphone with a MZW66 foam wind screen:

Such a microphone would provide a better signal-to-noise ratio in noisy
environments, but would be also more cumbersome.
In case you plan to conduct extensive measurements on the recorded bird sounds,
you might also consider the Avisoft-SASLab Pro software that provides a tool
for automated sound parameter measurements, which can significantly accelerate
the analysis procedure compared to the Raven software:
