Interesting find. But did you read about the problems some were experiencing 
with the Zero? Perhaps the Compass might be a better choice?

Either way, recording onto your Fostex, transferring to your Mac via USB, then 
monitoring through one of these little DACs with built-in headphone amps via 
the optical out of the Mac seems like an elegant and easy way to go.

What software are you using?
