Tom, I would be keen to try this setup, but on looking at your photos and reading your test I am confused. You say the mics are spaced 17cm apart and at an angle 110=B0 I couldn't make out the angle in yours - they appeared to be mounted parallel to one another ? Obviously I am missing something obvious here ! I would be grateful if someone could point me to a link that sows or explains this or a more detailed description as to the mic orientation.
