Hi Justin, Just thought I would point out (performance aside) the Fostex Fr2-le recorder, costs less than the SD Mix-pre. So have you considered getting the Olympus LS-10 and the Fr2-le? Then you will have two dedicated recorders, one for taking field notes or using external pip powered mics, and the other for your main phantom power rig. Seems like a handy combo to me. Use the cash savings toward a pair of pip powered mics to use with the LS-10 - like Sure WL-183. John |
