Hi Andrew Thank you very much for posting that file. From the figures alone I could not understand any difference, but your recording shows that the Mixpre is indeed far quieter. I would be facinated to hear a similar kind of test comparing the line inputs of the Olympus LS-10 and the Sony PCM-D50. I wonder if anyone has made any? How much battery life are you getting from the Mixpre? > I shall prob buy a new larger recorder in a year or so's time or > when ever the next generation of the current crop are replaced.
