Can anyone predict if the Edirol UA-25EX might work as a simple mic amp. with only a 6v battery connected to the USB cable? It can run both using internal software and with a software that comes on a CD and that must be uploaded to the PC. Must it work together with a PC even when using it's internal software? If it can run on it=B4s own, it is a really good preamp + phantom power device + headphone amp. Klas. Telinga Microphones, Botarbo, S-748 96 Tobo, Sweden.
