Steve, One last thought: If you don't mind setting up with a larger recorder, consider the Fostex FR-2LE (about $575, sometimes less). It has XLR inputs, a great preamp (very low self-noise), and limiter. The FR-2LE is about as big as a child's lunchbox. You can use it on a table or hanging from your shoulder. The FR-2LE misses your criteria in that is has no single channel recording (with one mic plugged in, the other channel records silence), and it uses Compactflash media. --oryoki |
