Higher self noise primarily. Never seemed as sensitive as what I paired it with, except in the case of the 40, which is similar. It's hearable when you compare a 30/40 to a 30/60, for instance. I don't have the kind of lab equipment for proper calibrated measurement so work on the basis of how mics perform in the field. Walt |
