I do it much the same way, I try to make as natural a transition as
possible between tracks. My style is generally to have crossfades
when it makes sense. I try to avoid fading to silence before starting
a new track unless it's a completely new idea.
I always fade up and out at the beginning and end of the recording.
this is one of the easiest ways to make tracks, even short snippets
that one may share just here sound more professional.
