The reason I found out about the product discontinuation was that I
was talking to a helpful DPA service rep about getting my mic
suspension repaired. One of the plastic arms that suspends the mics
was broken while in a suitcase on a recording trip. Next time I'll
need to have hard protection around the whole outfit when traveling.
The Windpac has been nice but I don't see any great differences
between it and the Rycote except that I like the way the Windpac
holds the mics more securely.
