Note that the DR-1 MIC 2 input is unbalanced (single-ended). So, it
works in the way I described here with the Sennheiser K6 module. Pin 3
can even be left open. It just does not matter here.

Pin 3 can also be connected to ground when the microphone has a
balanced output. This is actually necessary if the microphone has a
balanced transformer output. Otherwise, you would left one end of the
output transformer open! Or do I missing something here?
