Oops...I forgot the M-Audio Microtrack II. The Microtrack II and its
predecessor Microtrack 2496 have a pair of 7mm mic inputs.

Tests of the Microtrack II have shown unexpected high noise added in
the preamp when recording with an unbalanced 7mm mic cable. Best to
use a balanced cable like the Hosa STX105F with this recorder.

The Microtrack recorder is the "Swiss Army Knife" of small recorders.
 It has a 3.5mm (1/4-inch) stereo mic input jack, two 7mm (1/4-inch)
mic inputs, an RCA jack for SPDIF electrical digital signal input.
Line out is by a pair of RCA jacks.

The Microtrack II can provide 48V phantom power through its 7mm mic
inputs. This is an improvement over the Microtrack 240=3D96, which
provides only about 30V.

In addition to the unbalanced mic input problem, the self-noise of the
Microtrack II increased (that is, got worse) compared to the original.
That's a pity.
