Martyn, you have a thankless task trying to keep everyone happy and I
want to say now to you how much I appreciate the effort you put into it.

For just over 2 years this group has been great for me. Trained as a
field biologist I knew zilch about digital recording and arrived at my
mic (Telinga) and recorder (FR2LE) and software (Audition; Raven)
through the experts on this group. They guided me to good decisions
and I can now collect great sounds of the things closest to my heart,
which is why I wanted to learn about the gear. I can barely
reciprocate on the technical side, but maybe can on the sounds side. I
will join the new group with a slight twinge of regret hoping the two
do not diverge too much. And I will continue to follow the digests on
my gmail !

But thanks for your efforts - you do a great job for lousy pay !

Chris
