Hard Disk recording at higher elevations

<<In mid May I will be recording in Californias Sierra Nevada in
Sequoia National Park.
My current recorder is an Edirol R-4 which only records to hard disk.
The topic of hard disks at high elevations has been touched upon in
the group, but I am still not quite sure how to behave.
I will definitely not record above an elevation of 10000 feet so I do
not fear a complete failure.Yet, would I have to be careful handling
the recorder at elevations below that (6000 to 7000 ft), taking into
account that the pillow of air above my hard disk is thinner?>>

I've been told that hard drives are hermetically sealed for dust
protection, so I presume that air pressure changes won't be
experienced within the drive mechanism.
