Hi, for ambient recording I love the combo SD722+Rhode NT1A
microphones arranged either as near coincident YX or spaced XY to
approximate a binaural recording, maybe with something absorbing in
between the mics. Orientation could be a 60 to 90 degrees V depending
on the scene width.
I also like to use two sennheiser k6ME66 arranged in the same way,
but with a much narrower V (no more than 30 degrees).
