Thanks so much for a quick reply, oryoki. This is exactly the
comprehensive baseline I was hoping for...all desirable and plug
compatible components in one list (even though triple my budget!). The
list implies the kind of functional issues a beginner might overlook,
such as wind protection, that might seem obvious to experienced
recordists. Sure, these topics are separately scattered throughout the
group posts, but a single list makes things a lot clearer for me.
