Dave: I'm a complete beginner at this sort of thing and did the rewiring to a miniplug without any difficulty. The wires from the microphones were colored as indicated in the instructions. It takes a couple minutes to strip them carefully and a couple more to check twice that they're going where the should. Whole process was about 20 minutes.
