Ok so Klas replacing the H4 internal mics is about the quality of the origi=
nal mics, not the preamp.

On the H2 it seems its the pre-amp that is noisy when using the external ja=
ck, although some reports suggest it is only occurs with certain mics.
Does the physical insertion of an external mic switch-off the internal mics=
and allow only the external signal get to the internal mic preamp?
If for some reason the two were combined then presumably an impedance mis-m=
atch and all sorts of other distortions could occur.

What external mics do perform well with an H2, or is it a switched socket t=
hing, anybody know?
