Actually, i raved about the Ares PII+, the Ares-M is what Dan has (Dan Dugan is actually a Nagra dealer) The Ares PII+ is about $2700 WITH the microphone and has extremely good mic-pre's. http://www.wildlife-sound.org/equipment/nagra_ares_p2.html Above link will give you some idea.
