Hi Chris,
My FR2-LE settings with the Telinga Pro6/Twin Science are thus: Left
mic trim 3.00pm (goes to 4.00pm but as others have noted noise is
more evident, at least in phones). Right trim 3.30pm (boosted
slightly for quieter omni capsule in Twin Sci - this is mainly for
monitoring purposes eg. the appear even). The main volume control is
at 3.00pm, though I sometimes turn it up a bit more for faint calls.
So not that much more headroom avialable. I do everything at
Message: 44.
Subject: 1kHz/16 bit - call me ole fashioned ! Even with the amazing reach
of the twin science I still try to get as close to the subject as I
can.
Overall, I think the unit is excellent and I slightly prefer my
recordings with this than unit than the big brother FR2 which I also
own. It may not have quite the dynamic range of the FR2 but the wee
recorder just sounds "cleaner" with this particular mic. I am sure
Klas will have some useful input on this matter and indeed has
already indicated this previously.
