Hi Ed-- I second Curt's observations about the excellent quality of the FR-2LE at a savings of ~$1600 USD over a 722. I heard a test comparison recordings between a SD 722 and the FR2-LE in a quiet setting and it was a strained to detect much difference at all-- especially above 40Hz. On my budget, I'd be very careful that the money wouldn't be better invested in low-noise mics, which I'm sure you recognize the importance of. Rob D. |
