In my previus posting I forgot to mention an important point that applies to a 24 to 16 bit conversion: When converting a 24 bit recording to 16 bit, there is usually alrealy enough noise in the original recording. For this reason, I belive that it is not required to add additional dither noise. However, this is probably just nit picking... Raimund |
