I use transformerless matched DPA4006's on a stereo bar with a spacing of 5=
5-65cm
angled outwards approx. 15degrees and no barrier - with these mics it resul=
ts in a very
spacious recording and still retains a good centre. For covert / lightweigh=
t / convenience I
use DPA4060's mounted on the frame of my glasses by my ear pointing forward=
. I have
also played around with large spaced arrays of up to 7 DPA4006's in a shall=
ow 'V'
formation with the point of the 'V' facing and central to the prominent exp=
ected source
and the widest point being 150m mic-mic. I recorded seperate channels and m=
ixed them
later (paying particular attention to phase!).
