Humor aside :-),.. do you really think in 2057 that you'd have poor
regards for a newbie who turned into an accomplished recordist from
2007 to 2015?  Discovering this might have quite the contrary impact
for me.

The archive notions we are considering could "situate" emotional
content in informative perspectives that go well beyond current
frustrations and feelings. I can imagine a sociologist mining the
list to study the "guy-gear thing"  :-[  or even to study how fences
can be mended :-). There is always "therapy" on some level, hopefully
the advantages will out-weigh our passing frustrations.

Knowing that such a resource is being generated everyday might
encourage developing skills in civility-- perhaps by prompting a
writer to take the time needed to convert a quick, subtle "dig" into
a more reasoned, stated goal or need. Rob D.
