I'd be grateful for any advice on using furry covers with my NT1as. Up till now I used a DIY ORTF field rig which worked well. It had a wire cage over and around the pair of mics which kept the furry cover clear of the mics themselves. I'm now wanting to use a lighter Sabra shockmount and it would be easier to drop the furry over the suspended mics without having to construct a cage. NT1as have a mesh grill over the capsule and I'm wondering if this is protection enough and offers enough airspace if I'm putting the furry over them without the added cage. Any help much appreciated. james www.wyness.org www.khora.org.uk |
