seemed to prefer a 30/50 rig. Though maybe that's just what he had to 
hand. The Telinga ought to be an easier mounting with a suitable lump 
of wood of the right diameter for the central hole. I'm sure I've come 
across reference to a handle and carrier for an external mic for the 
Telinga but every one I've seen in use used a Telinga mic in the 
central hole.
