Your starter mics probably won't be able to take advantage of Hi-MD
quality, but you'll be able to confidently move up to much better
mics in the future. Worse case: you sell your Hi-MD on eBay with
little value loss. With a mp3 recorder, you might easily find
yourself starting over from scratch if you do catch the bug. Rob D.
