Yes the room I had available at the time was probably
not the quietest around and I am not sure as to how
much the Focusrite Red Stereo Pre contributes to the
noise. Given all the hype about the Focusrite Red
equipment it should be very little, but one can never
tell until it is tested.

Out in the field I am on the whole quite pleased with
the K6/ME66 and its noise performance, but I would
like to try them powered with an Art Phantom II to see
if there is an improvement.

Do keep us posted with the outcome of their visit to
Sennheiser.
