I took a quick look through the archives to see if there were any reviews on the Sound Devices 442 @$2495. At present I have been using the sound devices Mixpre for my 744 for the extra mic-pre's but unlike the older MP-2 it doesn't have the M/S selector and capabilities etc. I believe the 442 would give me greater capacity with the 744 recorder for 4 channel recording giving many of the out/input features, any input anyone?
