Hi all,
Bruce Wilson, my neighbor in the office across the hallway, told me (a
zoology professor who studies birds) about your Yahoo group so I joined
in hopes of finding more recordings of bird songs and calls. I am not a
nature recordist (yet anyway) but I have an interest, especially in
recording birds. Bruce informed me of Steve Pelikan's "Bird Song
Computer Game", I tried it, and I really think this is a great
educational tool for my Ornithology class, with Steve's permission of
course. However, most of Steve's photos and songs, to date anyway, are
of eastern US species. Do any of you have access to some good photos of
western US species? (I have found many on the internet, but copyrights
might be a problem here if they are applied to Steve's game.)

More importantly, anyone out there specializes in bird songs and call
who would be willing to provide songs of western species that Steve
might add to the program? I (and I think Steve) would be very
grateful.

Wayne
