Hi Dan,

In such cases concerned with noise made by humans and as heard by
humans, it would make sense to limit microphone positioning to
locations commonly frequented by people, such as along a park's hiking
paths.  It would also make sense for the sake of consistency to decide
on set parameters for microphone arrays =96 including height above the
ground.

For the monitoring work you have been involved with, what is the
conventional height above ground for mic placement?
