Hello everybody,

I have not done any recordings in the past months, maybe the last time I di=
d this was more than one year ago. But now I feel like resuming the activit=
y.

I use a Sony MZ-N10 MD recorder, and one of the reasons for stopping is tha=
t I got gradually frustrated with Sony's stupid software, who will not allo=
w me to transfer my nature sound files from the minidisc to the PC, assumin=
g that I am a thief who is illegally pirating music.

Some two years ago I swept over the whole web trying to find a workaround, =
maybe a software patch, but just gave up. Now I'd like to know if, after al=
l this time, anything new has come up? I know that now the Hi-MD supports t=
his feature, but... I owe a regular NetMD recorder. I am kind of pessimisti=
c though, since we are now in the iPod and MP3 players era.

I used to transfer my recordings in real time on my PC using the line-in pl=
ug from the soundboard, but nowadays I work chiefly with a laptop which lac=
ks this possibility. I could still use the MIC input, but what about my ste=
reo recordings?

Any clues?

Thanks a lot and all the best,

Daniel
