Hmmm....

Did IBM buy into any music industry holdings recently?

I really wonder about why the store purchased CD's were played up as being
better in the article, but without any numbers to discuss there.

A guy from IBM says CDRs only last two to five years. Manufacturers
are saying 50 to 100 years for archival grade CDR blanks.

I just checked my oldest CDR, from January 1996. Read fine.

I wonder if IBM is coming out with an archival storage system.
