It was a 5-pin locking XLR carrying M and S signals down a 15m length of Mogami two-channel balanced multicore, with a Nagra V hanging on the other end of it. Add to that the weight of the mic stand (a Manfrotto 001 nanostand) and I reckon it would be a good enough anchor for any Himalayan owl! In retrospect, my biggest concern would've been for the Rycote itself. I assume those talons would do some nasty damage to the windproofing... |
