Resistance is futile! I've been where you are. You are walking a well trodden trail. I think every budding nature recordist tries to find something cheap that's as good as the MKH. It partially depends on just what satisfies you. If you don't need a figure-8, the Sennheiser ME series is there too. I went MKH because the ME series did not have a figure-8 and I wanted M/S and preferred the balance of all mics from a single series. Also because Lang had used the MKH-20 in the SASS. Walt |
