Not totally related,

but in Tokyo I made a binaural recording from the perspective of the
godzilla statue they have there, it's only about 6' tall as I recall. It
gave me the idea to do a whole series of binaural recordings from the
perspectives of famous statues -- David, the little mermaid, the Moroni on
top of the Mormon tabernacle in Salt Lake, Lincoln in his memorial in DC,
etc...

Waiting to figure out who to hit up for funding (ha!) but I did get another
one from the perspective of the statue of John Lennon in Havana recently. :=
)
