Hello, I am new to recording and have just purchased a Sony HiMD MZ-RH10, Sennheiser ME 62 (with k-6), Telinga parabola, and AKG K240 DF headphones. I thought the minidisc was supposed to power the mic! I get nothing through the headphones and nothing is getting recorded on the disc during most recording attempts. (Only once did I hear my voice doing a test recording). I suspect maybe I need some kind of phantom power to drive the mic and headphones. Can someone point me in the right direction?
